(October 14, 2010) – Columbus Ohio Band, OfHuman, has been working around the Columbus music scene since May of 2008, growing their fan base, playing shows at some of the top venues, like Columbus’ own The Newport, where they’ve drawn over 700 people to their shows. In mid-July, the band grabbed the attention of Crushtone Music president Randy Chase, on a show at Skully’s Music Diner in Columbus, OH. OfHuman played on the bill with two other Crushtone Music artists, Anafair & The Flight Station. This “by chance” appearance from Randy Chase (who happened to be in town on other business) dropping in to check out the show and began discussions with OfHuman resulting in recently signing the band to the label.
OfHuman will be entering the studio to record their new EP with producer Jim Wirt who has produced albums for Trapt, Jack’s Mannequin, Hoobastank, The Rocket Summer and Incubus. The EP is anticipated for release within the first quarter of 2011.
